Kristian Albornoz
CIMA®
Kristian joined the Keeney Financial Group team in 2011 just after graduating with honors from Elon University. Since joining the team as a client service associate, he has demonstrated a strong attention to detail and excelled in driving client satisfaction. Early on, his existing insurance background was further refined, allowing him to become an integral part of assisting clients in executing insurance recommendations for life, health, long-term care and disability. Kristian attained the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification to further support his role in compiling and performing analytics for investment portfolios, developing client deliverables, as well as mentoring new team members. His consistent attention to detail and commitment to excellence led to his promotion to Wealth Advisor in 2014.
Growing up in a large family, Kristian learned the merits of teamwork and the importance of a strong support system at a young age. These lessons have carried over into his career as he always strives to ensure that clients know that they have a team behind them, dedicated to supporting their retirement goals and lifestyle.
He enjoys giving back to the community, most notably spending the past five years as a volunteer for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, including serving as a committee member for both the Give Thanks Walk and the annual Hope in the Harbor Gala.
Kristian has also earned FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.
What extra lengths do you go that help your clients live well?
“By taking the time to listen to a client’s concerns, we’re able to provide a ‘best-in-class’ solution that’s tailored specifically to put that client in the best possible position to reach their financial goals. Through consistent communication, clients are confident that they are partnered with a team of driven professionals that allows them to spend their free time focusing on what they feel is most important.”
What is the foundation of your effective long-term investment strategies?
“Through the completion of a comprehensive financial plan, clients are able to understand the level of risk necessary in their portfolios to reach their goals. This process lets clients understand how we arrived to their household allocation, along with the long-term ‘risk premium’ that we can expect their portfolio to garner. Our clients are able to cope with short-term volatility knowing their portfolio is built around goals for the long term.”
Describe something unique about your professional background or investment outlook?
“As an integral part of the firm’s portfolio analysis and composition team, I pride myself in being able to communicate complex investment analysis in ways that are client-friendly. By bringing to life our investment philosophy of focusing on ‘what we can control,’ clients know that their goals are my goals.”
How do you see the importance of bringing technology, research and financial analysis into play for each client?
“We not only use these tools to help clients track their strategy and investments, we also rely on them to remove the white noise prevalent in the financial media that can get in the way of client confidence.”
